There are just seven games remaining in the Limerick District League this weekend as the LDMC have taken the decision to postpone the majority of games across all divisions due to the inclement weather and the upcoming weather forecast. In an email sent to clubs and Sporting Limerick this evening, LDMC secretary Turlough McNamara stated:
“Due to the inclement weather over the last few days, the LDL have decided that all games on grass are off this weekend with the exception of the Oscar Traynor Youth game at Jackman Park and any games fixed for astro which will proceed.”
The surviving games include two meetings in the Premier Division with Ballynanty travelling to Charleville and Mungret Regional looking for a much-needed boost against Regional United at Dooradoyle. Both games take place at 7pm on Saturday evening. As previously mentioned, Limerick District League Oscar Traynor Youths will face Galway District League in the youth trophy at Jackman Park at 5.30. In Premier A, Aisling Annacotty B take on Moyross on Saturday night at 7pm.
The other remaining games include three Open Cup ties with all games taking place on Sunday at 11am:
Newtown B vs Lisnagry B
Brazuca B vs Mungret C
Brazuca United A vs Herbertstown A
